What my NTC Deck was for this last season

Hey all since all of the NTC matches are done I figured I can now post what my deck was for the season. First I want to state this deck worked 1 time, and that is all I needed it to do for the win. Second this deck made me really frustrated cause the weeks after the win I would come in close to last place each time. But over all after taking a break from it and playing it again this past week with a few modifications I still really like this deck.

Here is the deck and I will list off the cards.

This deck is a lower end deck, and its not hard but it is also not forgiving when you mess up. You have to manage the board of your opponent correctly and make it so they can’t take out your Heavyarms and Sandrocks until your Wings come out. Use your blockers to protect them, but remember you only have 4, and in the modified version I have even less. You need to keep at least one G - Team unit on the field to pair with Heavyarms or Sandrock. This makes it so you can subtract the ap and get free kills with those units. Use Quatre to rest down blockers and then as long as you got that other G - Team unit, and if its Heavyarms, you will get it off the board for free.

Now let me explain what I do turn 4 or 5, this also depends on if you are first or second.

If you are first, then Turn 4 is Sandrock Linked, if you don’t have that then its Heavydopp, Generic Link Heavyarms, so you can set your next turn up. Why is that? Well you want to keep their board clear as much as you can, if they just played a blocker and that was it this turn then you clear it with Sandrock and most likely you have 1 or 2 G - Team units on the field so you can.

If you are second, then you have some choices. First one is on Turn 3, which is 4 energy you can drop a Heavyarms, and a 1 drop or Overflow. This can setup your turn 4 to be a Sandrock Linked, or if they dropped Gundam then Deathscyth then if they didnt attack with it or there is a blocker play a Quatre on a Heavyarms so you can trade with it. But the idea is not to waste that EX Resource if you can, this will set up the next turn.

Turn 5 if you are not second it really is fill your board and control as much of the enemies board as possible without loosing your units.

Turn 5 if you are second is fun, you drop a Wing Gundam, if you have it and I did each match, Link it with preferably Green Heero and then drop Peacemillion. This is the standard play since Peacemillion came out to the game for Wing players, in my mind. You then use Sandrock, Heavyarms, to lower AP of a lvl 4 or lower unit. Sandrock breaks Base if it can, you want the Base to be gone if possible so you don’t have to waste 2 units to break it. Then you swing over the lvl 4 unit with Wing Gundam healing off any damage it would take since you would subtract at least 3, 4 if you were lucky and had 2 heavyarms out or 5 if a White Heero was on a Heavydopp to break the base. Peacemillion will heal 2 off of whatever you take from the unit. Then its time to calculate if you can win or if you need another turn. If you need another turn then clean up the board so they don’t get a pilot from the shields, I have lost to many times cause I got greedy, and if you dont need to clean up the board leave stuff standing.

This is how I won my games with this deck, the one game that was really hard was the last one against a Blue Purple, which was more of a rush deck as well, not the high end stuff, they had Victory engine in it. I just took care of the board and new when not to swing and refilled my board poking back and forth here and there.

The rest of the season I couldn’t draw correctly to save my life and it was taking a toll on me so I switched to an Age deck I am working on and it did me ok, I was middle of a 32 man NTC for the very last one, only having one misplay with Nu Gundam and not reading the card right cause of my dyslexia. I already have some changes I want to make with the new Wing 0 EW and the new Releena command card, I just want to have all Wing stuff in my deck only. I also hope to make a video based on what I have here and the other blog post to maybe explain it a bit better if this is a bit rushed or off a bit. As well as videos based on my friends decks and how they ran. There will also eventually be 2 videos on the NTC win my friend and I both had during the Lockon Gundam Dynames season eventually as well.

I hope you all had a great season and hope everyone has fun with the game!
