My Favorite Gaming Memories? Why have I not posted a blog in a bit?

First off I want to answer the second question first. I took some time to rest up for the Extra-Life 2020. It takes a lot out of me but I love doing it each year and you can go donate or just share the donation page around by clicking here. I am trying to put my thoughts into words about why I do this, but it made me think of times with my Grandma and Brother so I need more time to type that out and have somebody proof read my stuff since its all doesn’t make sense.

Now with that done with, lets find out what to talk about. This post will not have a lot of flashy pictures in it. My favorite gaming memories are, this is what I want to dive into a little bit not to much.

So one thing I love to do is just sit back and lose myself in a game. When streaming that doesn’t happen so when I get time to just play I love it. Over the years of being a creator I had to figure out if I wanted to keep creating videos and streaming, and I don’t plan on stop anytime soon. I feel like it is needed to be said so I am honest with myself, not just you. With that said I already did a blog about why I do what I do but I never got into my mindset, I don’t think I did.

So when I make videos its a lot of work even if its just streaming and that takes its toll on me. Before I start to play a game I do a couple of things. First off I look to see if I would enjoy the game. Second I look into if and what kind of videos are already out there with said game. Last I do test play, I play the game if I am not doing a first look. Then after I am done with everything and stream, I then go and make a thumbnail. This could be I google search the box art or I go get something from a press site if I have access. One thing that is hard is my anxiety and if I don’t have people to chat with while stream or people are not engaging with my videos I get really down and move to the next game.

One of the favorite memories I have of gaming is really 2 moments.

First is when I got my N64 and got Rogue Squadrons and Ocarina of Time. I beat both games in one day. I had to fight my brother to play. We would take turns playing Rogue Squadron but eventually he left and I did nothing but sit with my dog, Molly, on my lap and beat Ocarina of Time. I had the official Nintendo Guide with all of the maps and what not. It was one of the most relaxing and fun days I have as a memory.

Second, is when I got to play PSO for the first time and really also when I first saw it. I went to a friends house and I looked at the TV and saw this weird new game. It was PSO on the Dreamcast with a keyboard. I was so shocked and didn’t know what to think, then I got to play it. I couldn’t believe what I was playing. It was slow, clunky, and so much fun. I never played a game link this. I was blown away, and I went straight home and bought a Dreamcast. I had to sell everything with my N64 to get it so I was kind of sad but I played nothing but PSO, Sonic Adventure, and Jet Set Radio. I wanted to get online but couldn’t do that until the Original Xbox. I would go on more about this but I don’t want to make this longer than what I have it.

I will start doing more blog post again here in the future, and if you are a Patreon you can suggest topics for me to type about.
